The school has been taking initiatives in using technology in teaching and learning. We have started it from the primary section. All classes from KG to five have a smart class set up, with a large screen TV and a laptop with the teacher. They show academic lessons on the TV, visual pictures and videos. All students from class two to five have been given computer tablets. They work on it in the class room and at home. This has added to the quality of teaching and learning. We believe that majority of our girls in the primary classes are achieving a better performance level than most Govt and aided schools. As we writing this in December 2020 when we have seen lockdown and closure of the school for nine months. These conditions may continue for some more months.
Our students have not benefitted much from online classes because of limitations. Teachers do not have computers at home and lack training in using them for academic purposes. They are giving the lessons by WhatsApp. Our girls do not have easy access to a smart phone and have been missing on the learning process. They also have a limitation of having good data and WiFi capacity.
We are now making some corrective actions. Some class rooms in the secondary section are being fitted with smart class equipment. A large number of girls of senior classes are being given free or subsidized laptops. We expect to distribute about 200 laptops before March 2021 starting from class 10 and 11.
